Panadol Extra 500mg Film-Coated Tablets 12’s

Description

Panadol Extra 500mg Film-Coated Tablets contain a combination of active ingredients – Paracetamol and Caffeine which are clinically proven to provide more effective pain relief than standard paracetamol tablets for headaches, toothaches, colds and flu, muscle aches, and period pain. Additionally, they can reduce fever.

• The OPTIZORB formulation contains a patented delivery system that allows the tablets to deliver paracetamol (the active pain relief ingredient in Panadol) more efficiently, by breaking down faster than standard paracetamol tablets.
• Panadol Tablets provide up to 30% more powerful pain relief than standard paracetamol.

Directions: Swallow the tablets with a glass of water, with or without food. Not suitable for children under 12 years of age.

Adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over: Take 1-2 tablets every 4 hours as required. Up to 4 times daily with water, as required. Maximum 8 tablets in 24 hours. Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours.

Children aged 12-15 years: Give 1 tablet every 4 hours as required. Up to 4 times daily with water, as required. Maximum 4 tablets in 24 hours. Do not take more frequently than every 4 hours. Do not give to children for more than 3 days, except on medical advice.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PANADOL EXTRA TABLETS:

• Always read the patient information leaflet.
• Not suitable for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
• Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you or your child are taking any other prescription medications, regular medicines, or receiving regular treatment.
• Panadol products contain paracetamol; do not take them with other medicines that also contain paracetamol. Paracetamol is in many medicines to treat pain, fever, symptoms of cold and flu, and sleep medicines.
• Panadol Extra contains caffeine. Excessive intake of caffeine (e.g. coffee, tea, and some canned drinks) should be avoided while taking this product.
• Do not use it if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Do not exceed the stated dose, seek immediate medical advice in the event of an overdose.
• If symptoms persist consult your doctor. Prolonged use without medical supervision may be harmful.
• Like all medicines, Panadol can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you think you have any side effects or symptoms, stop using this medicine immediately and see a doctor as soon as possible.

Active ingredient: Each Panadol Extra 500mg Film Coated Tablet contains paracetamol (500mg) and caffeine (65mg).
