When you are establishing breastfeeding, you may need to pay special attention to nipple care, and here at Wondercare, we have advice and products to support you in keeping your nipples healthy and comfortable during breastfeeding. Proper nipple care can prevent common issues like soreness, cracking and infections, and we recommend a good hygiene routine to ensure cleanliness. Moisturising creams can be an excellent way to maintain your comfort if your nipples become sore or cracked and we recommend a lanolin-based product such as Lansinoh, or a gently formulated balm such as MooGoo Nipple Balm to soothe and calm.
Latching on your baby correctly can prevent a multitude of breastfeeding problems, and a poor latch is often the first thing a professional lactation consultant or infant feeding specialist will check for.
