Vitabiotics Pregnacare Max is a supplement that is formulated to support pregnancy and provide ideal nutritional support. It includes folic acid, as well as DHA, Calcium, Vitamin D, Magnesium, Iron and B Vitamins, amongst others. Simply take two tablets each day, along with an Omega-3 capsule for a complete nutritional balance. It is very important to take vitamins and supplements as directed by the manufacturer and to be aware of any potential side effects that may occur. You should consult your doctor if you have any underlying conditions or allergies as there may be a more appropriate option for you during pregnancy.
We often recommend Active Iron Pregnancy Plus, and this is a good choice for you if you have low iron levels. It provides a combination of active iron, a complete multivitamin and omega 3 DHA, and is carefully formulated to be easily absorbed by the body. It can be taken before, during and after pregnancy and during breastfeeding and is suitable for coeliacs.
You may find that you require an additional folic acid or iron supplement during pregnancy, particularly if routine blood tests show that your iron levels are low. This is very common during pregnancy and you may be experiencing fatigue, pale skin and irritability if this is something that affects you. If you are concerned about this, or about any other symptom you experience during pregnancy, you should talk to your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
