Carpal Tunnel Syndrome is common in pregnancy, as routine swelling in the wrists puts pressure on the nerves. This can be exacerbated by warm weather, which increases the likelihood of swelling, or by repetitive movements. A Carpal Tunnel Wrist Brace can help to relieve the pressure on the nerves and give support to the affected area, reducing your symptoms and helping to manage the problem until you give birth, at which time the swelling will usually resolve by itself.
Many people develop stretch marks during pregnancy, or whenever they experience rapid weight gain or loss. When the skin stretches, stretch marks may appear on the abdomen, buttocks or thighs, or the chest, as your breasts change in readiness for breastfeeding. These marks are usually red in appearance initially and will fade to silvery scars with time.
