Description
Otrivine Extra Dual Relief Nasal Spray provides fast, effective & long lasting relief from nasal congestion and runny noses (rhinorrhea) in connection with common colds.
- Otrivine Extra Dual Relief Nasal Spray contains two different active ingredients: Xylometazoline hydrochloride which decongests quickly and reduces nasal mucosal swelling and Ipratropium bromide which reduces nasal mucus secretion within 15 minutes of use and lasts for an average of 6 hours.
- Non-Drowsy Formula.
How to use: Before using it for the first time, prime the pump by performing a few pumping motions until an even spray is released into the air.
- Gently blow your nose.
- Hold the bottle upright with your thumb under the base and nozzle between two fingers.
- Lean forward slightly and insert the nozzle into a nostril.
- Spray and breathe in gently through the nose at the same time. Repeat on the other side.
- Try not to blow your nose for the first few minutes allowing the medicine to get to work.
Adults over 18 years: 1 spray into each nostril 1-3 times a day for a maximum of 7 days. Leave at least 6 hours between doses.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OTRIVINE EXTRA DUAL RELIEF NASAL SPRAY
- Always read the patient information leaflet.
- Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or if you or your child are taking any other prescription medications, regular medicines, or receiving regular treatment.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Do not use continuously for more than 7 consecutive days. If the symptoms worsen or do not improve, or if other symptoms occur, consult a doctor.
- Do not use if you are allergic to Xylometazoline hydrochloride or ipratropium bromide, atropine, or similar substances or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
- Do not exceed the stated dose, seek immediate medical advice in the event of an overdose.
- Like all medicines, Otrivine Extra Dual Relief can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. If you think you have any side effects or symptoms, stop using this medicine immediately and see a doctor as soon as possible.
- Prolonged use without medical supervision may be harmful.
Ingredients: The active substances are xylometazoline hydrochloride and ipratropium bromide. 1 ml contains 0.5 mg xylometazoline hydrochloride and 0.6 mg ipratropium bromide. 1 puff contains 70 micrograms xylometazoline hydrochloride and 84 micrograms ipratropium bromide. The other ingredients are disodium edetate, glycerol 85 %, purified water, sodium hydroxide, and hydrochloric acid.
